Miquel Soler's Snowboard Photography Through Our Atoll Ultra-Wide 2.8/17 Art Lens

We got to know Barcelona-based photographer Miquel Soler some time ago when he shared with us the stunning Spanish countryside shots using our LomoChrome Metropolis and Berlin Kino films.

This time we equipped him with the Atoll Ultra-Wide 2.8/17 Art Lens and a Color Negative 400 ISO film to document his snowboarder friend Maria Hidalgo preparing for this year Winter Olympics.

These photos were taken during her latest competition in Laax, Switzerland, last January 10th. Miquel used our Art Lens mounted on the M6 Leica Camera.

About Maria Hidalgo

Maria was born in Barcelona in 1997 and she started snowboarding at the age of 12. When she was 15, she started competing at international level around the world. Currently she is competing in the Snowboard world cup. Her next stops will be Georgia and the Czech Republic in March. She is combining contests with training around Europe.

When we asked Miquel how was his experience with our latest art lenses, he could not hide his enthusiasm:

I like the Atoll lens because it is a super solid wide lens built in metal construction. It is sharp and doesn't create any distortion. The only cons I found about this lens is the weight: it's a little bit heavy but if you are looking for a wide lens with great aperture, you have to sacrifice lightness.
