Hello Irati, welcome to Lomography magazine! Could you introduce yourself to the readers?

I embarked on a creative journey that started with my pursuit of Fine Arts in Madrid, but I soon decided to chase my artistic dreams all the way to Barcelona, my current playground, where I dived headfirst into the world of editorial design. A few years ago, I took a delightful detour into the realm of Fashion Photography. I'm currently working as Art Director and Photographer.

When did you first fall in love with photography?

Honestly, I have no idea. I guess it’s like responding to what’s my favorite movie: a sea of uncertainty. I’ve always had artistic appetite and, since I started studying fine arts, I developed a specific interest in photography. It excites me, just like a cat gets excited with water.

In an undeniably digital age, why do you choose to shoot analogue?

Always analogue, always paper, my bag always full of things. They’re a delightful conception of uncertainty and tantalizing possibilities. My lens focuses on a medley of subjects, not necessarily in this order: objects, people, hands, and flowers.

We love your portraits on film, but this time you surprised us with pictures of wild nature, beautiful landscapes and wonderful details. Where did you take your roll of LomoChrome Metropolis film? And why did you choose this particular film for your adventure?

I am a bit wild just like the grass of the garden that I don't have. The images are taken in Romania, most of them on a winding road called Transfăgărășan. I picked the Metropolis film because I was looking for a color film that offered a different finish.

What features of this film did you like the most?

What I adore the most is how the outcome resembles my parents’ 40-year-old honeymoon photo album, creating a sense of nostalgia and romance.

Do you have any interesting projects planned that you would like to share with us?

For the time being, my films are waiting in the fridge.
